I visited the urgent care centre at west Middlesex hospital as I had a little growth on my breast. Already a pharmacist had said without even looking at it that it might need biopsy. Hearing that word, I was already panicked so rushed to A&E. waited for 2 hours and I could see the people that came after me were being seen . So I politely went up to the receptionist to ask how long and without even acknowledging me she said, can you see I’m doing some work. I’m busy, please queue up, which is fine but you need to realise what state of mind people come into a hospital. Already scared, panicked and then staff speak with you in that tone. Anyway saw the doctor who was even worse. I just had a skin tag on the breast, which the pharmacist had said might need a biopsy. To a layman , biopsy indicates cancer. So anyone would be worried. She seemed so angry at me for coming in and wasting her time for a skin tag. My point is the state of mind people gone in to the hospital with us very sensitive and staff should have some respect . More than the doctor, I felt it was the receptionists that need to be mindful of this. Not a great feeling
"Rude staff"
