"Breathlessness"

About: Pembury Hospital / General medicine South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a relative),

My 83yr old husband has been suffering from a chest infection and became very distressed with breathlessness. I rang NHS111 on his behalf who were exceptionally busy so I had to wait 20mins to get a response. The operator (Hannah) was extremely helpful and said we needed to see a doctor and Pembury would ring back within the hour. A quick response from Pembury plus an appointment to see the GP at 10. 30h. Delightful young doctor (Dr Dennihey) who was very thorough and prescribed antibiotics X2, We were back home by midnight and I would like to say how efficient and caring the whole experience was.
