"Unacceptable Administration Error"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

After waiting more than 2 years for what should have been a 6 monthly repeat appointment, despite numerous follow ups from me in the meantime, I finally got an appointment today. However, when I arrived after a 2.5hrs journey and paying my car paring fee, I was advised that the doctor could not see me as my records have been archived as I have not been seen for over 2 years and could not be retrieved today. I would therefore need to wait for another appointment to be made. The reason it has been over 2 years since my last appointment is entirely down to the appalling administration of the PAH Eye Unit and their lack of ability to organise my records. I hold little hope that my "New Appointment" will be made without me constantly chasing, just as I did before. This is a totally unacceptable service for which I hold PAH Eye Unit wholly responsible.
