Last November I was in Dumfries for 6 weeks to train as a tree surgeon, up from Newcastle. Unfortunately I was rushed into this hospital on a Sunday morning with acute appendicitis. The care I received was exceptional. I didn't need to wait anytime  at all in A&E instead I was taken straight into a cubicle where I was immediately seen. I was admitted to an assessment ward, given a CT scan again straight away. Seen by a surgeon and taken straight up to theatre. Afterwards I was taken to ward D9 where all the staff and care was brilliant, efficient and well explained. You are very lucky to have such a modern and efficient facility

I am delighted that you had such a positive experience at a time when you must have been in a considerable amount of pain and discomfort. It is wonderful to know that you were pleased with the standard of care and the teams will be delighted to hear that you were so happy with your carethroughout your stay.
