"Cancelled op"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (London)

Went in at 7.30 for a opperation that got cancelled due to an emergency case which is fine, i then received a new date with a new surgeon.. two days before my new date i recieved a call, asking me to attend the hospital for more tests,by a new surgeon. The day before my new opp was booked in for,i was told that the surgeon is not comfortable doing my opperation, due to my age,and referred me to guys for futher testing..fair enough; my concern is if there wasnt a emergency case on the date that my opperation was booked for, would i of been taken into surgery to have a opperation that i didnt need. I receieved my appointment for guys, and went on the 15th january, had my testing done, and my results were sent back to the queen Elizabeth hospital, as you can imagion, ive not recieved my results.

Dear John,

I really appreciate your comments concerning your stay on Ward 14, and recognising what we do on a daily basis - providing a high standard of care for our patients. It is sometimes difficult to meet the different needs of our patients but we always work towards maintaining a courteous and friendly environment for all patients and staff.

Thank you very much for writing in and I will feed this back to the rest of the team.

Kind Regards,

Patricia Okoro
