I was in Kelso Hospital twice – Christmas 2018 and September 2019 – after being transferred from hospital in Edinburgh.
No dedicated nurse.
Advantages of Kelso Hospital:
• More personal
• Close to family and friends
Staff were attentive, caring and respectful. Privacy was respected which was much appreciated.
Excellent physio and OT services were provided during my stay.
General nursing staff were excellent.
Food was good and varied (helpings very large)!
Post Hospital attention and care from the Cheviot team was good.
I do hope that the Kelso Hospital remains open in the future as it is necessary to have this facility for the local community.
