"DDH"

About: Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a parent/guardian),

My baby was found to have Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) at her check. The team were amazing at explaining it although my self and my husband were initially really worried! She got put in a public harness for 5 weeks and was out of it and we’ve been told she’s totally back to normal! You get special trousers at shops such as marks and Spencer’s which make it easier also!

Thank you for your lovely comments! I'm pleased that your experience was so positive. I will make sure the rest of the team hear your story.

I am sure that other parents will welcome your advice about clothes for babies in harness!
