About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Alexandra Unit (Palliative Care) Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Cancer care and Oncology

(as a relative),

Mum was admitted to the Alexander unit in late October until she passed in November. The staff team where amazing with us as a family and her. As we were worried I would phone at all times of the day/night and nothing was to much. Even when up visiting the nurse in charge was always available to keep us inform on what had been going on that day.

Firstly, on behalf of NHS Dumfries & Galloway, I would like to pass on my condolences to you and your family following the loss of your mum.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am absolutely delighted to hear that you and your family had such a positive experience at a time which must have been extremely difficult for you all. The staff in the unit work exceedingly hard to ensure that the care that they deliver to both patients and their families is of the highest standard. I have no doubt that they will be absolutely delighted to receive your feedback and I will personally ensure that your kind words are passed on. I hope that you and your family are doing well and I would like to thank you once again for the kind words for our amazing team.
