Having fallen from a horse on 19/2, I attended QE2 with back/neck pain. Was referred to Lister for a spinal X-ray.
The nurse in triage saw me within 5 minutes and shortly after a Consultant came a got me. Walked me through to Resus and I was faced with a team of doctors and nurses. At first I was embarrassed with the amount of attention I was receiving but am now immensely grateful that they treated my symptoms as worst case scenario. Within about another 20 minutes I was strapped to a back board having a contrast CT scan on my back/neck. Thankfully I was given the all clear and allowed to leave a couple of hours later.
At all times I was informed of what was happening to me and made to feel completely looked after. I honestly cannot fault the quality of the service that I received.
