"Not coming back "

I’m very sorry to say this was the first and last visit I’ll be paying to this place. There is no regard for human error.

I was less than 10 minutes late for a health checkup for my baby which I was again reminded by the receptionist of- yes sorry I struggled to get a bus in the cold rainy weather.

I was told to take a seat and someone would call me through. Someone eventually comes out (a further ten mins later) and when I told her I’d been waiting for a while she asked how late I was in the most condescending tone and narrowing of her eyes- clearly implying I’m lying. I said ten mins max. She then tells me I’m going to have to rebook. I’m aware everyone is busy with lots of time pressure but those ten minutes I waited could’ve been used in the assessment- there was another patient already in the clinic room so I’m pretty confident I could’ve been squeezed in if they wanted but it’s clearly about their convenience not the patients. Me being slightly late is an excuse to be turned away so the workload is lessened. So when I said “I won’t come back here” the response was an uncaring “that’s fine” and she moved on to the next patient.

It’s hard enough taking care of babies and toddlers, trying to manage work, taking time off and travelling to these appointments but I’ve found a saddening lack of compassion all round.

Definitely not coming back here.
