Gp told me to go to education department in council to get my child assessed for autism. Refused to accept that it's the GP that has to do the referral.
I'm at my wits end in trying to get help for my child. My mental and physical health is suffering accordingly.
In addition to dealing with my child's still unsupported needs, I have the extra burden of fighting to even get on the extraordinary long waiting list before he eventually gets to see a professional. This is incredibly cruel and has already caused undue trauma and suffering.
