AAA Star team

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Medical/Gastroenterology (Ward 11)

(as a service user),

I went in yesterday morning for AAA surgery. From the front door on the way in to the front door on the way out this is an AAA star team. Everyone from nurses to theatre (sorry can't remember all the names but you will know who you are) were fantastic! After major 4 hr surgery from Mr. Vessey and all the theatre team I was able to walk out the same day, fixed!

I wish I could personally thank everyone who dealt with me but please accept this as a poor second best from both my wife and myself.

P.S. I'm feeling great

Hairmyres should be proud of you all.

Thank you for taking the time to give such lovely feedback. I am pleased to hear that your care and treatment went so well and that you are pleased with your treatment and experience.

You were obviously very unwell and I am delighted to hear that you are at home and feeling great. Sudden illness can be a frightening time and it is reassuring to hear that your care was so positive.

I will share your comments with the various teams as they will be delighted to hear that you are feeling well and felt so well cared for.
