About: The Nightingale Practice

I have an on going medical condition. I was assured that although you can no longer book appointment I would get one ring on day. In queue 40 mins then no doctors appointment even though I was seen by cardiology department on Monday and have copy of letter sent to doctor to say they must monitor new drug given Monday and also they must change another one. I need blood test to review a problem caused by medication. I have managed to get in with nurse and will ask how monitoring will proceed also need sick note which I might not have till Monday. I must say staff always polite and doctor I usually see is excellent however new system since moving premises is awful. Also my perscriptions are now sent to a pharmacy not at my request it is nowhere near I live and although I have repeatedly said I do not want this it has happened again this week. I intend to get an appointment with practice manager and will re review with my progress

Many Thanks for feeding back on our service. We use patient feedback to try and improve the service we provide and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we are doing.

I am sorry that you had to wait 40 minutes on the phone. Our patient group recently requested that we have a phone system that allows patients to know where they are in the queue allowing patients to decide if they wish to wait or call back. We implemented this system a while back. Our phone lines are extremely busy during peak times - 08:30 - 10:30 & 2:30 - 3:30. We have employed extra staff to be on duty during these times.

Did you know that you can book a GP call back on-line through our website www.thenightingalepractice.co.uk Please pop into the practice a member of our reception team will be happy to show you how to use the service.

Pharmacy nominations - You are able to nominate any pharmacy - If you want to collect your medication from a pharmacy near to work you can - You can also nominate a pharmacy close to where you live. Please either call or pop into the practice or you can email a nomination to CAHCCG.NightingalePractice@nhs.net

If you wish to discuss any of these matters further I would be delighted to meet with you. You can arrange a meeting in person by phone or by email.

Kind Regards

Jill
