"Praise for treatment"

(as the patient),

Last year I was diagnosed with skin cancer.

I was treated with a smaller operation before Christmas and then I had to go back when the cancer was spreading.

From the start of the treatment I was helped and encouraged by the cancer nurses, who were so caring,  they always had a kind word and provided every bit of information I needed. Always there at the end of the phone if I was worried or needed help.

My care was fantastic, and I cannot praise the nurses and doctors, and ancillary staff highly enough.

My especial thanks goes to my wonderful consultant Mr Lloyd, the anaesthetist and their brilliant theatre team, to the nurses on Wheal Coates, who were so kind, considerate, patient and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble.

Special thanks to Lisa and Sarah the skin cancer nurses who are so knowledgeable understanding and kind.

Thank you a million times to all the NHS staff, from the bottom of my heart. We are so very lucky to live in the UK where all this treatment is FREE.

Dear hh-2020,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you on here. I was so pleased to read that after your diagnosis of skin cancer you were helped and encouraged by the nurses caring for you and who were always that the end of the phone for you - I can imagine this was very comforting to know during a very stressful time.

It is lovely to see that Mr Lloyd and his team on Wheal Coates were kind and considerate whilst treating you and that nothing was too much trouble.

I am responding to you as a member of the Patient and Family Experience Team, but I will ensure that your story is shared with all the people you have mentioned - I'm sure they will be glad to receive such kind comments.
