"Breast Feeding Support"

About: Highland Community Services / Breastfeeding Support Service Raigmore Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

Once I had my baby I received round the clock care and support for my breast feeding journey, if I had the slightest issue or concern my support worker was only a message away, I received wonderful advice and no question or worry was silly. Once I was confident enough I started to attend a local baby group thst offers mum's support for any breastfeeding concerns and its a great opportunity to speak to other mum's Also to get some help and advice.

Good morning Sa-DC

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and Thankyou so much for taking the time to inform us of the wonderful experiences you have had during your breastfeeding journey.

It is hugely encouraging to read that our pathways work in offering new mums the support and reassurance you describe. The team are a huge value to our service and I will pass this on to them.

Thankyou again for taking the time out of busy family life to let us know.

Take care

Karen Mackay, senior health improvement specialist, infant feeding advisor, NHS Highland
