"My mum died without us knowing what was wrong…"

About: Scarborough General Hospital

My mum walked into this joke of a hospital in July 2018, and a week later she was dead. Despite asking on numerous occasions what was wrong with her the useless consultants could not tell us (liver cancer was suspected, but needed to be confirmed by a biopsy that never happened). At the time we believed she was in the best place and trusted them - despite her not receiving medication on time, her records going missing & needles placed in the crook of her arm. After mum died still none the wiser as to why she had died (and confused as to why the death certificate stated pneumonia, when that had never been suggested to us), we requested mum's medical records. According to the records (which were obviously fabricated after her sudden death due to the amount of inaccuracies) they knew 2 days before she died about the pneumonia- but yet not 1 person thought to tell us she had contracted pneumonia. But even more disgusting was the do not attempt resuscitation that had been placed upon mum without any of our knowledge. According to the notes the consultant who could barely speak English had had a detailed discussion with us all about it and we all agreed. Utter rubbish
