I regularly attend a day medicine clinic at Forth Valley Hospital (Larbert, Central Scotland) to have blood letting (venesection) to control my iron levels in my blood due to a genetic condition called "Haemochromatosis". This nurse led clinic is so efficient with the nurse, Catherine, carrying out the procedures, running her appointment diary and generally being caring to patients who, like me, can be very nervous of the procedure. What a nice touch to see the same nurse each time as you build up confidence and rapport with her. Well done Catherine & Forth Valley Hospital whom I hope value this clinic as much of the patients do.
