"Thank goodness that we still have a service like this"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I while doing some do it yourself I accidentally cut my thumb with a piece of glass which required nine stitches at the A&E department

I would just simply like to say that the trained surgical nurse called Martin was absolutely first class in attending to me as were all the staff in the department

I entered the hospital around 8.40 am was then seen assessed with the wound x-rayed and attended to and I was out the door at 10.00 am

I know that the Health Service has its faults and but in this instance thank goodness that we still have a service like this that we can call on in an emergency

Thank you.

Dear Grandad4,

Sorry to hear that you had a recent injury that meant you had to receive stiches- I do hope you are recovering well. I am glad however that your recent experience within our A&E department was a positive one. The team always aim to treat patients in a timely way and with care. We will be sure to pass on your feedback to Martin and the wider team who I am sure will be delighted that you felt you had a 'first class' experience.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch- you feedback is really valuable in ensuring we provide quality services here at Monklands.

Best Wishes,

Claire
