"A visit to A&E on a Sunday afternoon"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

A routine visit from my Daughter on a Sunday, she usually pops in to see her old Dad on the off chance that he has had the soup pot on. That is bye the bye anyway to carry on, I happened to say to her my thumb was a bit sore she had a look at it and said right hospital to get it checked out.

To cut a long story short my finger had to be lanced to release the poison and I was admitted to ward 33 so that my progress could be checked. Once in ward 33 I came in contact with the real NHS the people who work tirelessly to cure the sick and tend the needy, all of them without fail carry out their work diligently and efficiently no matter what or how the public treat them. I can natter on about the NHS but basically we are very lucky in the UK that we have the best health service comparable with anywhere, and to pick fault with any of it I think is just nit -picking.

PS my daughter still hasn't had her soup and it is now Tuesday.
