About: Russells Hall Hospital

I visited for a pre-op in the summer (June/July) of last year. I was diagnosed as diabetic and couldn’t have my operation until I was ‘stable’ .

I received a letter a few months later telling me my blood glucose was now under control and I was eligible for my operation.

6 months later and I’m still waiting. Very distressing to be coming up to a full year since I saw my G.P. to report my broken nose and deviated septum, I have asked my G.P. If there is a date for my operation and was told I just had to wait.

I don’t think waiting for almost a year for an operation is acceptable in a first world country.
