Went to see doctor at my medical practice at the beginning of August as I had passed a lot of blood and had experienced irregular bowel movements he referred me for a colonoscopy/MRI and CT scan which were done within 2 weeks.
Was diagnosed with bowel cancer met surgeon and cancer nurse and then consultant oncologist from western general to shrink cancerous tumour.
Arranged for me to have radiotherapy/chemotherapy started that mid Sept then finished mid October check up in late November and arranged for surgery in January to remove tumour.
Had surgery at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy in January and was fitted with Stoma.
Treatment by all concerned was exemplary, staff are friendly
very efficient and compassionate but they are overworked
Food in hospital was excellent too!
"Treatment by all concerned was exemplary"
