Having recently had replacement hip surgery, i cannot praise the treatment or care i received highly enough. From the auxiliaries, to the nursing staff on ward 10, to the theatre staff and all involved with my time in hospital including the pre opp nurses, physio and occupational therapist involved with my case. They all helped to make my stay in hospital a more relaxed and stress free experience. A special thanks has to go the the anaesthetist and the nurse who looked after me in the recovery room after my operation. And of course my surgeon. I was fortunate enough to be let home 24 hrs after my surgery and have recovered well. Anyone who is due to go through a similar procedure, if you receive the care and attention that i did, hopefully all will be fine and your time in hospital will not be as traumatic as you may have expected it to be.
More often than not, news reports can be negative where the NHS is concerned but i do think more should be told about the great service all the staff provide in what must be very demanding occupation. Definitely 10 out of10 from myself. C. Smith
