Having recently been admitted to ward 10, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for a hip replacement i have to say that the care and attention I received was faultless. From my initial MRI scan, to my first consultation with Dr. Ballantyne, my pre opp appointment to my stay in hospital for the operation, I cannot praise all involved enough. From the auxiliaries, to the nursing staff, to the anaesthetist, the physio and occupational therapist and Dr Ballantyne himself, everyone worked as a team to the highest of standards.
Thankfully, all went well with my operation and I was home within 24 hours and the treatment I received went a long way to make the experience as smooth and comfortable as i could have wanted. My thanks to all who were involved with my care, especially the nurse who attended to me in the recovery room, she was meant for her job. You often hear negative things about the NHS, with waiting times and lack of beds etc but thankfully, more often than not, due to the dedication of all involved, under difficult circumstances, I can only have praise for those in the profession. Thank you once again and if this was a review for Trip Advisor you would definitely get FIVE STARS!
