"Obstacle course"

As ever, nervous as a blue badge holder about traversing the challenge posed by accessing the hospital from the the drop off point.

This was made worse by the weather and the unexplained works at the front of the hospital obstacle course. The so-called architects, and the people who signed off on the design of what I feel must be a vanity project, seem to have absolutely no idea about the users or customers of the hospital. Shopping complexes consider the needs of the customers as paramount. Some hospitals also take the needs of patients and visitors seriously and subjects of prime importance. It seems obvious to me that the people who conceived the layout of QEUH have little concern for patient needs. This might seem a tad harsh, but as I was fighting against the gale today I was not at my best and as someone who has recently been very unwell I felt that the extra unnecessary challenges provided by incompetent hospital design was a step too far.
