"Colonoscopy"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Gastroenterology (Ward 10)

(as the patient),

I was given a colonoscopy due to my bowel screening coming back positive, I had a multiple Polypectomy and was told I'd need another colonoscopy after a year. The year ran out in December last year, even though I have written several emails to find out why the appointment has never came I have been ignored on multiple occasions, obviously no care is given to patients who may be prone to getting bowel cancer.

Dear Gst,

I'm sorry that you haven't had any response to your correspondence.

Could I ask you to contact my colleagues in the Patient Affairs Department with your CHI number, or full name and date of birth if you don't have that and they'll try and look into it for you. Patientaffairs.monklands@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk

Kind regards

Rick

Update posted by Gst (the patient)

Many thanks for your email, I have had a response from the colonoscopy department at Wishaw General and was given an appointment for the end of April, unfortunately it now has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, hopefully once its over a new appointment will be sent out.
