I would like to say a Big Big thank you to professor McKay and the team of pancriatic specialists in Glasgow Royal infirmary for looking after and taking care of my son.
He was transferred from Wishaw general hospital A C C U unit in January 2020 to intensive care unit west, Glasgow Royal Queen Elizabeth, thank you to Mr downie and his team at Wishaw general for taking care of him while he was in ward 16 and 18 and when he was in induced coma for 9 days then he was transferred to Glasgow Royal.
He is still in the high dependency Glasgow Royal, he has been through so much but it can only get better, the plan today was to flush out and see what was going on, instead they removed the stent and replaced it with a new long term one, and he still has to drains in his lower tummy, and the food tube is still in place the plan is to ween him of the food tube as he is now on solid food.
He didn't realise he'd been in hospital 6 weeks, he has been told he will be going back to Wishaw general as soon as there is a bed, a Big thank you from me and my son
"My son would like to say thank you to everyone"
