About: Gala Resource Centre

(as a service user),

When I started at Gala Resource Centre I was scared about meeting new people and had poor confidence. at this time I felt Suicidal and my time at Gala Resource centre has saved me from this.

I have been involved in the centre for the past two years taking part in the Craft group, anxiety management, bread making workshop,gentle walking group,baking and volunteer work withion the cafe.

I have been able to build up trust with Heather and Lorraine but feel all the staff are lovely and easy to talk to. I have been able to make new friends and able to accept that I can now have friends.

I know I am safe when I am at Gala Resource centre and now feel able to talk to other people. I am now doing more and particularly after the baking group i feel happier because it is fun.

We are sorry to hear that when you first came to Gala Resource Centre you were scared to meet people, lacked confidence and felt suicidal.

We as a team are really pleased that your experience has been positive and that through attending the centre you feel you have been able to "build trust" with Heather and Lorraine and identify that you are "able to have friends". We are extremely glad that you feel safe when coming to the centre. It is great that you are doing more and that you feel happier after attending the baking group which you say is fun:-)

We are really grateful that you felt able to share your experience of attending Gala Resource Centre on Care Opinion.
