"Mental Health Services"

About: Inclusion Isle of Wight

(as a service user),

I suffer from severe anxiety and depress.   Also a recovering drug addict and alcoholic, and suffered domestic violence so I find it really hard going to appointments.   I'm from Isle of Wight and the Inclusion centre I go to here brought the meetings for script to our hostel at the Salvation Army.   That helps a lot as I find trusting people hard and I have a lovely support worked called Kerion and he comes every Tuesday and has helped a lot with us all.   I relapsed but he still supports me and moved things forward so I could get to restart asap.   So this is great in my eyes, but also have experienced let downs in the system too.

robinsp64, thank you so much for your feedback.

I will be sure to pass your lovely comment over to Kieron. He will appreciate that.

During the COVID-19 measures our aim has been to be as flexible as we can be to support the people who come to our service and we are pleased to hear that you have benefitted from our outreach. We have expanded our service to adapt to the conditions and our outreach clinic bus has helped us with this. We feel it is important to be accessible wherever and however people in the community need to access our service. We are also currently looking at ways we can safely re-introduce our clinics in the community and we should have some more news on this soon.

We work closely with partner agencies all over the Island to offer the best service possible and you can speak with your Recovery Worker, or one of our engagement workers about the services available to you for support with coping with things such as domestic violence and we can also set up an appointment with your Recovery Worker and our Mental Health Nurse to discuss the treatment options for managing things like anxiety and depression. We can then work along side our partners like the Mental Health team and Isorropia to offer the best support possible. We can even make an onward referral for you if and when you feel that is the support you need?

If you have any other feedback for the service then we like to encourage people to take part in our weekly forums so we can model the service on what people think will work best. Please ask one of our team for more information on this.

Thanks again for your feedback.
