"I honestly could not have felt safer"

About: Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Labour suite The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Neonatal Unit

(as the patient),

I am absolutely blown away with the care that I received whilst having my daughter at Princess Royal Maternity in January! I am a nurse myself so I know NHS staff are so hard working but the care given was honestly outstanding! It ended up being a bit traumatic and ended up with an emergency section as a first time mum (who had only been in hospital to work my shifts) it was daunting but I honestly could not have felt safer in the hands of the doctors, anaesthetists, midwives and Paediatricians! The care was so outstanding! I hope you are able to pass this message onto the staff at Princess royal labour suite & high dependency and pass on our thanks for the care given I can’t put into words how great they all were and how safe I felt me and my daughter were in their hands! Massive thanks to you all!

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such lovely feedback. I will be delighted to pass on your thanks to the staff within labour suite and high dependency who I know work hard to ensure that women and their families are reassured and kept informed, especially when plans can change quickly. Its such a special time and we are delighted that our staff contributed in some way to enhancing you and your families experience,

Many thanks,

Update posted by T2016 (the patient)

Thank you for your reply! I also forgot to mention the staff in ward 72 & 73 who were also great! Our hospital stay lasted from Monday when I was taken in to be induced until Saturday when we were both discharged and everyone was really helpful and kind! Thank you so much again can’t praise the staff enough
