"Truly patient centred care"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I have been a patient at the Ophthalmology Department since 2004. I have noticed a huge improvement in the care offered to the patients after QE has had their own Corneal consultant in 2012/13. Through various clinical interventions the consultant has been able to bring so many positive changes to my life and always sees the bigger picture when dealing with patients.

All the staff are very welcoming and show empathy and care, including all nurses and admin and clerical staff. There is a positive atmosphere in this department.

Well done and keep it up. Without your intervention I would be without vision.
