I visited the GP due to feeling unwell having problems with my chest relating to feeling breathless, wheezy, coughing having to use my inhaler more. Overall for 12-18 months prior to that I have certainly visited more due to this problem. The GP’s yes have done a few tests, to be told everything has come back clear, or it could be this, could be that.
Yet again my symptoms have flared up again taking my inhaler 5-6 times a day. Waking during the night feeling like my chest is in a vice, having to take my inhaler, also nasal congestion. During the day any contact with the cold then coming back indoors having to take my inhaler.
I am reluctant to return as my last visit I felt very unwell, after my consultation I broke down in tears when I left the GP’s room after being asked “would you say you worry about your health?” My husband had to console me in the corridor of the waiting room as I felt uncomfortable to approach him in a busy waiting room.
I know I am going to be told after the surgery reading this to make an appointment with the GP, this incident has made me feel uncomfortable as I was made to feel I am a hypochondriac. Or no doubt the latter will be if you are not happy with our service change to another surgery. That really won’t help!
I just really want someone to be compassionate, caring and listen to me as clearly these symptoms are becoming somewhat distressing to me now.
