"Elderly care"

About: Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Accompanied 93 year old morher who has dementia and had suffered head injury due to fall. Most of nursing staff in A&E very professional, caring and approachable. Doctor condescending, flippant and sarcastic - could use some training in people skills imo. Didn't seem to understand the nature of dementia and how frightened/confused my mum was. Hopefully we won't encounter this particular doctor again!

Good afternoon and thank you for your comments. I was happy to read that you felt that most of our nursing staff in A&E were very professional, caring and approachable. However I was concerned to read your comments regarding the doctor who treated your mum. Please may I apologise for any distress this may have caused. Also if you would like I can look into this further for you.

Unfortunately you have not left any contact details however if you would like to contact are PALS team on 01772 522972 we could ensure that this information is passed on to the correct doctor involved. We hope your mother is feeling better now.
