About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Cardiology Borders General Hospital / Oral Surgery & Medicine

(as the patient),

Last week I was admitted to the Borders General Hospital suffering from chest pain and a severe toothache ( it's difficult to tell which was worse ). Once in A& E, I was promptly assessed and made comfortable while a bed was being secured for me. Even with the hospital running at full capacity, my case was quickly diagnosed within four hours and I was admitted to Ward 6. Ward 6 is a large and busy part of the hospital and despite this, I found the attentiveness of the Nurses, doctors and domestics second to none.

Dear Tobias

Thank you very much for taking the time to use Care Opinion to share the details of your experiencing of visiting the Emergency Department (ED) and Ward 6 at Borders General Hospital.

It is great to hear that you had such a positive experience during what would have been an anxious time for you. I am pleased that you found the attentiveness from all members of our multidisciplinary team second to none and I will ensure this is fed back to the nurses, doctors and domestics in ED and Ward 6.

I hope you have now fully recovered and wish you well.

Best wishes,

Karen
