Took son to see GP. Check in system said running on time although had to wait 40 minutes. GP unhelpful and patronising. Not sure if this is usual for the doctor or if she was having a bad day as this was first time I met my doctor and definatly the last. I have no confidence in this surgery compared to our previous GP before we merged.
The presenting problem was ignored and the reason I took him was due to painful lumps on his head but the doctor did not even examine his head. She laughed at me and said there's nothing wrong with my son.
I've worked as a practice nurse until recently and I've never known a doctor to be able to make a diagnosis without examining the area of concern. I have now decided to register elsewhere.
