"Needs improvement"

About: Dr R Chibber's Practice

This surgery has changed you cannot understand reception staff as they lack basic communication skills and are very rude and you keep getting put on hold while your talking to them on the phone I was put on hold 4 times after waiting on the phone to get through to them for 26 minutes.

You can never get an appointment when you want as theres nothing ever available so you'll have to keep calling on a daily basis or you'll get told to book online but when you try there is no appointments available. (Also staff needs to understand a 79 year old cannot be expected to book an appointment online.)

One last thing I want to highlight which is that a lady doctor in the surgery cannot see a male patient which is very shocking surely it is sexiest and not acceptable in this day and age.

I hope the surgery improves and changes this "female cannot see a male patient" policy which I was told after trying to book an appointment for the 3rd time this week. I think the surgery needs to improve with staff training and availability of appointments both online and in house.

Your comment is disappointing and inaccurate. The fact that you have posted anonymously would suggest that you do not want your complaint investigated and resolved.

Your complaint is about the availability of appointments, difficulty getting through on the phone and access by male patients to our in-house gynaecology specialist.

In a typical month we offer 72 more appointments than our access. Of these 121 appointments remain un-booked and 107 appointments are made but patients fail to attend. We encourage patients to book online because it is so convenient and feedback has been very positive. We do accommodate those who are not confident online, over the phone.

Given that we have three male doctors who have clinics every day except Thursday I don't understand why you would want to see a female doctor specifically.

I would encourage you to see our Practice Manager with details of the phone calls that you made so that, if there is an issue, we can work to correct it.
