Having had hip surgery very recently in our local BGH, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the wonderful staff. Starting from the moment I entered the building early in the morning feeling nervous, I was greeted by friendly staff who put me at my ease. The all female anaesthetic and surgical teams are worthy of the highest praise for the amazing work they do, so skilled, efficient and caring and I can’t thank them enough.
Once on ward 9, I felt at home, and knowing how busy the staff were, I was so impressed at the level of individual care and attention. The nurses made sure that I, along with others in the ward, were comfortable and well cared for. The occupational and physiotherapists provided the essential information for returning home and their help was invaluable.
The NHS does not receive the praise it deserves and how lucky we are to have such amazing staff running our hospitals. Ten out of ten for BGH!
