Dear Colquhoun,

I am sincerely sorry to hear about the experience you have had of our Hospital Eye Service.

The amount of time spent by a large number of patients in our waiting area is a recognised problem in the service and solving it has proved to be challenging due to the lack of space for assessment and consultation of an ever-increasing number of patients.

However, this is an aspect of our service that we are currently reviewing and we hope to be able to implement changes that will improve the experience of patients attending the service in the future.

Regarding the lack of communication received from staff, I am disappointed to hear this and will feed this back to senior nursing staff working in this area.

If you would like to discuss your experience of the service today in more detail, I would happy for you to phone me on 01236 584 995.

Jamie
