"The staff were always there."

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I have just spent a few weeks in ward 9B and really feel that Gillian the wards sister and her wonderful staff deserve some credit for all their hard work. This ward is very very busy, yet never once did I have to wait for any kind of attention, be it pain relief or dressings needing to be changed, the staff were always there. My 3 main nurses being Emma and the 2 Laura’s, who all gave me the best possible care. They were helpful in keeping my family up to date on my well being, I have spent many weeks in many hospitals, some good some, well not so good,  but this ward I have to say were the best Ward for care that I have ever spent time in. I was then transferred to Glasgow Royal and will have surgery here, however, it is thanks to Gillian and her wonderful team, that I’ve got this far, thank you to all staff.

Dear Grateful patient 8662

Thank you for your post on Care Opinion.

Being in hospital can be an anxious time so it was lovely to read about the high standard of care you received in Ward 9B. I am sure that Gillian, Emma, the 2 Laura’s and the rest of the staff will appreciate such positive feedback.

I wish you well with your recovery.

Take Care

Nicole
