"All the nurses were fab"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

my experience in A& E was a disaster but my experience in 3e stroke ward put my faith back in the NHS. Kevin kept my dignity and put me at ease. Alec was there to listen and couldn't do enough. All the nurses were fab, especially Charlene and Jennifer. I was in both 321 and 322 both rooms made me feel safe and let me know what was happening with my medical care. last but not least the sister took time out of her busy schedule to speak to me and that made me feel important.

Dear velazt58,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on care opinion. It is so nice to read about your positive experience in the stroke unit at what must have been a worrying time.

As well as all the technical aspects of care equally important is that you are treated with dignity, care and compassion. I am delighted this was your experience. Communication is key to try and ensure that you have the information you require.

I will ensure your feedback is shared with all the team. Kevin, Charlene and Jennifer I know will be delighted with your personal feedback and how their input supported you. I also very much appreciate your comments and glad the input made you feel important. There is no doubt you as the patient living the experience is the most important person.

I hope you are now on the road to recovery.

Best Wishes,

Christine
