"Efficient but not friendly"

About: New Victoria Hospital / X-rays and scans

(as the patient),

I was asked by my GP to attend the Victoria ACH for a chest X-Ray. I was very nervous due to my past medical history. When I attended there was no waiting time and I was taken very efficiently. Sadly, no one was friendly. Not rude, but not friendly. No attempt to put me at ease or to take a moment of chat. I was directed what to do and where to stand and that was it (despite me offering a thank you and no response). Sadly, there was also a student with them - I hope they will teach how to interact with patients as well as the complexity of the job.

Thank you for your post on Care Opinion.

It is disappointing that whilst the staff were efficient in the process of taking your x-ray they did not make you feel at ease. Please accept our apologies.

I have shared your feedback with the General Manager responsible for the x-ray Department and this will be discussed with the staff to reflect on your experience and how we can improve this for other patients.
