"Hairmyres staff"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / Trauma & Orthopaedics (Wards 1 & 5)

(as the patient),

Once again I had to attend Hairmyres hospital as I had broken my wrist. After attending A& E my wrist was encased in a cast. The staff in A& E were totally overwhelmed with the amount of people who had injuries due to the black ice. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the doctors and nurses who although very busy still made time to chat and reassure patients. It was decided that I would require an operation to reset the bone. I had the op on Friday and again the staff were very busy but still had a chat and  laugh with patients who were waiting. I can't thank the nurses and doctors enough. Where would we be without these people. Special thanks to Dr. Grant, Sharon, Fiona and Laura (nurses) you really are remarkable people. 😀
