"Very poor practice and appalling care"

As a 60 year old patient, who has rarely needed to visit the G.P, I am utterly appalled at the level of care provided by the GPs and receptionists at this surgery. I have visited the surgery on several occasions over the last few months with regards to worrying symptoms I have begun to experience. On each occasion, I have been made to feel as though the symptoms are 'in my imagination' and I have been fobbed off with 'it may just be your anxiety.' First of all, at 60 years old I know my own body and my own anxiety. The GPs here do not seem to understand that anxiety is a physical condition and may be linked to hormone imbalances etc, which despite my attempts to explain this, was completely disregarded. I seriously think that something needs to be done about the level of care and understanding that GPs show towards their patients. I love our NHS and hate to complain but this is just unfair and unacceptable.
