"Excellent Care"

I was admitted with Pericarditis. In a two week stay I was both impressed and grateful to all staff; consultants, registrars, technicians, nurses, ALL support and ancillary staff for the professional and courteous way I was treated and the importance given to involving me in explanations, decisions and, if appropriate alternatives regarding treatment. There was a very 'human' face to all aspects of my stay and I cannot emphasise enough how important this is when you are on the receiving end as a patient. Thank you again, a service under great strain but when I needed it the NHS was there for me. Lets fight to keep the NHS safe and properly funded so others can experience the professionalism and excellence that I did.
