"I am taking part in research"

I want to share my experience.

I'm taking part in research for type 2 diabetics.

The research nurse has helped me understand my diabetes more than anyone.  I meet with her every 16 weeks and get great care and support, plus I can contact her directly if I need to.  I had to contact her over Christmas and she was so kind and helpful.  

She arranges the appointments to suit me.  I don't have transport so she comes to see me at Wigton Hospital.  After the first appointment she contacted my GP because my blood pressure was high and now I'm on the right treatment for it.  I feel much better. She also helped me get an appointment for my feet and now I see a specialist. I am half way through the research and enjoying it very much.
