"Coronary bypass operation"

About: Alexandra Hospital

(as the patient),

During the early part of the year of 2004 I suffered with severe chest pain aged 52, it was diagnosed as angina. I was sent to the Alexandra in Cheadle for an angiogram, this was performed by Mr. Nicholas Brookes.. As a result of the findings I was kept in the hospital and underwent a triple bypass two days later, which was performed by Mr. John Carey. After 6 days I was released home to continue my recovery. I am able to still ride my bicycle for 20/30 miles, go the gym, run etc without any problem with my heart. The rest of my body is suffering with the usual age related aches and pains. It is with thanks to these guys and the NHS after care that I have lived and still enjoy the life I have today.. A very special thank you to all the medical staff involved with my particular problem.
