I was diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic 16 years ago and have never achieved good blood sugar levels. At the point of becoming Type 1, I was referred to Gayle’s Diabetic Group at Grove Road Surgery. What a revelation! This 12 week course has educated me to reduce my intake of carbohydrates. I now eat a healthy and satisfying diet and this has transformed my life. I had unknowingly been following wrong guidance for years. Today, 12 weeks later, I have lost over 3 stone in weight and achieved normal HbA1c blood readings. I now understand what I can eat and am hopeful that I can reduce my medication. Thank you.
