Right from the beginning of my pregnancy I had the best support from Elayne. She knew I was anxious and went above and beyond to help put my mind at rest, scheduling my appointments for times when she (or Katherine) was working. Any time I was panicky I would get in touch with her and she would always help me, and there were a few instances of this (sorry! And thank you! Xx)
Elayne wasn’t on shift when I went into labour but she still arrived at half 4 in the morning to the maternity unit and delivered my baby anyway. It was all very calm and quite funny in the end! Thank you to Elaine for taking the call and even though I sounded calm, met me at the hospital as soon as she could.
I can’t put into words how grateful I am!!
All throughout my pregnancy I was determined to have a local birth. It was a bit rocky at times but midwifes in Oban were alway supportive of my choice (Elayne, Katherine, Rosie and Elaine (who was also at the birth)- All superstars, thank you!) and thanks to Rosie for the fab hypnobirthing classes which helped a lot, even though my labour was extremely quick! Rosie also helped when nerves got the better of me and offered one to one hypnobirthing seasons in the days leading up to the birth. Godsend :)
Absolutely delighted that I got to stay local in the end. I couldn’t have asked for better care. What a brilliant team xx
