My experience is mostly positive, the doctors and nurses were compationate , knowlagable and professional. However, I was examined by two doctors and had a small procedure on my eye which is sensitive and prone to infections and inflammation so the hygiene of the eye lid has been drummed into me since having this condition. Neither doctor washed their hands before or after touching my eye or used any antibacterial hand gel or disposable gloves..They went in and out of the consultation room touching doors etc so even if they washed their hands in the other room they were not clean. I know they are very busy and under a lot if pressure but it only takes a minute to wash hands and with growing numbers of hospital borne infections they can't afford to be complacent.
Despite this I am very grateful for the care and otherwise excelent treatments I have received at RSH.
