Visited the childrens accident and Emergency department with my daughter last night. The care and speed with which she was seen was outstanding. It took 1 hour and 15 mins to be seen by a nurse, x rayed, establish her thumb is broken, apply the appropriate splint and book to see a consultant in 48 hours time.
The checking in nurse to triage nurse, X ray lady were outstanding. And my daughter was made to feel so at ease and comfortable. So much for the bag of food is taken - we didn’t get time to eat it!
I can’t thank the staff enough for being so caring. And the timescale to be seen was fantastic.
I do hope this can be fed back to the individuals and their management. Efficiency and care at its best.
