"Discriminatory behaviour "

About: Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

I have accessed the mental health team on and off for several years. I have a personality disorder and severe depression and really need the support of services. However I am being discriminated against for having bpd. Because I don’t fit neatly into their box they feel they can’t help. I’ve not had sight of a care plan for over a year and there is no clear plan of work that was to be done with the cpn. The cpn feels she can’t work with me any further and lots of things have been put in place - however that’s not my experience! I’ve not seen any plan of work on the care plan or know what work we are supposed to be doing! At the end of the day I’m not the professional they are!

I was asked to come to a meeting to discuss my discharge - it is known that I can’t cope with going to St. Andrews house and not once was there a conversation about how it could be made easier for me to attend - it is all about them and their needs!

I was also told by my cpn that I couldn’t access crisis or the mhlt at hospital because ‘it doesn’t work’ those were her exact words - yesterday I was basically called a liar by her manager!

So this is my current situation -I’m in crisis I am constantly self harming sometimes needing medical attention - however because I’ve been told that I can’t see crisis and the mhlt won’t see me on the word of the cpn I don’t access services. If I had broken my leg would I be denied treatment ? Their behaviour is discriminatory and disgraceful. At this point I’m considering contacting my MP and the local press as this behaviour should not be allowed to happen. I’m now left with no support at all
